I have been considering the Synology DS220+ but have also seen the Synology DS220J. I've been looking at Synology products as they are, I think, known for heir ease of use and good software. I have put together a PC in the past, but struggle with technical details for NAS etc. I will not be transcoding - the Zidoo can do this, so it is purely to stream. I therefore need it to have sufficient bandwidth to stream this amount of data, and read contradictory things about whether different NAS drives are capable of this. I am looking for a futureproof NAS to store photos, documents etc safely, but the main purpose will be to stream high-bitrate 4k movies, including my raw 4k Blu-ray rips, to my Zidoo Z100 Pro for playing. Please could someone advise me on what NAS I should get for my requirements.
