Tyler is a reputable firm and one of the few with sufficient scale to be able to handle a reassessment of a county as large as Delaware County. “Judge Burr had concluded that the county’s real property assessments no longer met the uniformity standard in the Pennsylvania Constitution and some people, including the appellants before him, were overpaying in real property taxes while other people were underpaying. “In 2017 in response to an order from (Delaware County Court of Common Pleas) Judge (Charles) Burr in an assessment appeal case, the Delaware County Council engaged Tyler Technologies to do a county wide reassessment,” she said.
